This course is designed for the undergraduate one-term Analytical Chemistry course (sometimes called Classical Quantitative Analysis) for students majoring in Chemistry and related fields. It deals with principles and techniques of four main titrimetric analyses, evaluation of errors and statistical treatment of analytical data, standard international units, treatment of complex equilibrium systems, selective titration of multi-components, design of various titrimetric methods including acidity of solution, selection of indicators and titrants, and errors for end point judgment, etc. Examples of analytical techniques are drawn from such areas as life sciences, clinical chemistry, air and water pollution, and industrial analyses.
